Sorry folks did the day hunt thing before. Enjoyed it, but found it got exspensive.
What is the going rate one would be expected to pay for just hogs?
Just curious - Thanks,

Just get to know a land owner that has a hog problem and the price will probably be zero. Maybe offer to help him out with some work around the place. Seriously.
Most of my friends with property have an arrangement like this in place. Hogs are just such a detriment to land.

Good luck.
I've been looking for 2 years now and found nothing. Had a couple leads but 19 times out of 20 they want it to be a deer/hog lease which means you better break out the wallet, piggy bank and a credit card LOL.
I'm willing to pay $500 for a hog only off season lease and found two things..Jack and squat
I will keep trying..

Cheap if they really want the hogs gone ! Day hunts are not bad if you find a good one. I guess depending on what area and all I would say $1-2 per acre not per person? Good Luck !

I think an issue you guys are going to face is that there might be trust issues with you not shooting deer. That's why I suggested hitting up someone you know or getting to know a landowner.
My buddy lets several people in the area that he trusts run dogs and hunt hogs as often as they like for free. Because the hogs are absolutely destroying his fields and he's not around all the time, he needs someone to control them.
Keep at it - you'll find someone.

Another way to do this is get on your friends leases and see if they will sub-lease hogs to you with date restrictions.

If you are around the Ray Roberts area on the North end, You can go and get all you want. They are everywhere up there. You can also park by the creek on fm205 outside of Rockwall and start walking towards the lake and get them there as well.

what part of Tx you in?
I know our land owner lets people trap and hunt some of his crop fields for nothing. Only catch is, you have to kill every pig you see or trap. You let any pass, you will not be allowed to come back if he finds out.
My suggestion is to find a corn cropper or wheat cropper and ask if you can hunt just pigs especially at night under a moonlit sky right after planting and right after harvest(makes it easier to spot).

I guess people have a trust issue period. Heck I want to go coon hunting at night with no more than a 22 or a 410 and I can't hardly get a place to hunt...that doesn't want me to pay. I have no interest in pigs, or deer...or anything other than coons...but they just want to make you pay to help them get rid of coons...
Good luck on finding your pig lease man.
