I'd like to read the rest of the story, but can't find anything on web searches. Where was this published? Thanks.

This has made its rounds of THF more than once.
The beauty of the Second Ammendment is it won't be needed until they try and take it.

Sorry Ryan, this one was just killed on Nov. 7, 2009 so it hasn't been around very long at all. It appeared in the local paper this morning in Coleman and there was no article with it. Also know the McIver ranch and its not photoshopped!!! I see where you just registered on THF one day after this cat was killed so how could you say it been around for a while??

i know i saw a pic of something just like that last week. a buddy of mine owns a lease outside of leakey, and he said he was driving the property when two does ran across him and before he could turn to look forward he heard a thud. when he got out it was female lion he hit. the pic he took looked alot like this one but the cat was a bit smaller.

Lets see, bottom portion of tool box is unclear and the cooler is turned longways instead of cross-ways.....don't think so!! The one in the earlier thread doesn't seem to quite as heavy as the Trickham cat.

Def the same IMO. Both trucks are black chevys. Both trucks have stickers in the same spots on the back window. Coolers are the exact same color. Both toolboxes are black and same brand.

I am no forensic photographer, but it looks like the same one to me. In addition to the toolbox and the cooler, if you look at the hitch and the trailer plug...it is the same also. This happens quite a bit...where one picture will appear under different headlines and in different geographical areas claiming different shooters, dates, ranches, etc.

Just because you have been on here forever and have a ton of posts don't mean you can tell me I don't know what I'm talkin about. Sorry it takes your paper that long to deliver "recent" news. Not my problem bud!! Check this out! http://www.texashuntingforum.com/forum/u...ion#Post1024557 Dang, what do you know!! There is another post of the same cat on here just can't find it. Prolly taken off because of a repost!

Didn't see the stickers on the second photo. Not enough information to disprove the newspaper. Would be an odd coincidence, though.

looking at the pics.....they do look like the same pics...ain't calling you a liar as it would be interesting to know if it was the same pics....why the Coleman paper would post it....
Can you check that out....and let us know....
Spend time with the ones you love. Time is not guaranteed.

I have worked in community newspapers and a lot of them just run what is submitted. If someone brought them the picture and told them a story that sounded like it could be true, I can see them running it without making a ton of phone calls to check the facts. Obviously the papers check the facts and references on a hard news or feature story, but submitted photos don't usually get that kind of treatment. Looks like the Coleman paper may have been duped.
