One of the springs that allows my Benelli SBE to cycle another load is bent...

I need another one...

Where can I get one? confused2

Thanks in advance!

More importantly, how did you do that?!?

I've gotten some parts at gunmasters in Plano, I bet they've got it, or can order.

FYI:

(answered my own question) scared

Called Benelli USA: 301-283-6981

Talked to a lady named Kelly, and she had me confirm my serial number, and she is sending me a "new" spring for free! woot

Said, if anything goes wrong with the gun, give her a shout and she will send replacement parts out that day if they have them in stock! up

Still lovin' my SBE!

That's good to know, but I hope I don't ever have to order parts for mine.

Ha, me too.

Was going to remind you of the opportunity to upgrade to a Beretta. rofl

Good to know. I broke a part in my Beretta disassembling it incorrectly and Beretta had it to me in 3 days.

J.J. I've been blowing that new call and learning some new stuff from the Buck Gardner CD.

Love that new call.

Most SBE cult members have that number on speed dial but do not acknowledge it in a public forum. It is kind of like lake naming to the cult members. Please use a PM next time.

WOW...were they as in shock on the number as the rest of us are? Most the SBE guys try to lead us to believe they never need parts...just shells wink

Seriously JJ, glad they got you fixed up and you will be back in business soon!

If that was true I would be shooting another shotgun. Let's see how those extremas hold up in 10 or 15 years. Seeing as JJ hunts like 4 or more times a week he probably puts in 2 or 3 times more work than most people do in their shotguns.

He dropped it in the water on that group hunt....

I'm gonna venture a guess that his spring is just rusty, that happened to mine, same deal.

That wouldn't be considered a failure.

Field Gun- Beretta
Duck Gun- Benelli

I would shoot either one if I could afford it. SBE and Extrema are both excellent fowling guns.

I have a Beretta, but it is NOT a duck gun (AL391 Sporting).

Duck gun is a beat up old Franchi 612 gas gun.

If I had the xtra cash to go buy one today, I would have a hard time deciding between the Extrema and the SBE.

I was going to suggest that.

there is "NO" babyin' my gun...

It is a tool, and I use it...

I try and clean it "every now and then"...but mostly "then"

I am very happy with it, and wouldn't trade it for anything...

But will say this, that hunting in EXTREME conditions will take a toll on your equipment...

Last couple of days have been in the "teens" and cold and water, will play havic on your stuff!

I fixed it temporarily and will use it again in the morning...

The birds just thought they had a couple days off! roflmao

How did you break/bend the spring? If it's the one I'm thinking of, it' a pretty stout spring, not like a wimpy mag spring or anything.

I'm shocked you don't have a backup gun.

That's pretty funny! But honestly for me I've always said I have zero loyalty to any brand. I just go by whats best for me. For right now it's the SBEII. But don't think I don't keep an open mind to other shotguns. I'm always going to get what I think is best. I've also said the same thing JJ just said...the shotgun is just a tool for me...it's not something I hang on the wall for people to admire and talk about. It's in the mud and gunk and gets a pretty good workout.

I know Marcstar, just couldn't help teasing you a little. The SBE II and the Xtrema are both great guns and I would be happy with either.
