Just got a new Pup and I am looking for a Vet in the Area, preferably close to Lewisville that has experience with the GSP Breed.

I need to get xRay, worming, and shots.

what kind of x-rays are you getting on a pup?

I was told to check them for hip dysplasia...

who told you that?

the best vet you can possible find for hips is in Lewisville. Dr Ed Aycock. he is a big lab guy but the guru of taking hip xrays. people travel from ALLL over TX and other states just for him to do OFA pics.

I read it on a few sites of people that were selling the GSPs, they would refund the dog if the xRays came back negative...

How long do you have on the xrays for refund? Most of the time my vet wont start taking xrays untill atleast 6 months unless he is already having problems. Most of the dogs I get have contract that state a refund up to 1 1/2 years so that their hips can properly develop before the final xrays are taken, this is just my experience though and may be completly wrong b/c I mostly work with labs and chessies so it might be different for gsp's

I'm pretty sure you can't get a certification on hips until 2 years of age. You might want to check on that.
