I am not sure how any of them are going to out shoot others that shoot nearly the same hole...

And not to start a debate, but I am not real sure I'd classify Cooper's and others, even R5's, etc. as mass produced... none of those are "production line" guns.

Most of the Remington 700's will shoot well out of the box, and with proper bedding and a little trigger work they only get better. The 5r is on my wish list for Christmas...

I bet 90% of well known accurate rifles, will shoot better than we can. There are so many accurate guns out there. Like Sig said, some of those "one-holer" benchrest rifles are amazing and unbeatable. As far as hunting rifles, there are lots of good ones. Some guns of the same make and model, in order, off the assembly line might shoot a little different. Coopers are not production line by the way. There are so many good custom makers out there it is impossible to say who is the most accurate. There are also alot of good production rifles out there, and the same goes for it. Remington,Tikka, Weatherby, Savage, T/C, and I hear the NEW Model 70 Winchesters are very accurate. have an old 1954 Remington Model 721 in .270win. that will shoot tighter than anything I own. I can shoot 1/2 groups @ 100 yards with it, But that is on a perfect day. And I havent done that every time. Who needs more than that? It is like saying someone makes the best hamburgers in the world. There are alot of good hamburgers out there!

Group size has to be measured by the diameter of the ragged hole. Good luck identifying 3 seperate holes in a group!

Probably alot of accurate rifles out there, but I really like my Kimber 8400 .270 that I bought this year. It is a great rifle.
One thing - you will need to experiment with different cartridges on the range when you get your new rifle. Mine ended up liking Fusion 130 grain. Great shooting ammo.
Mathews Z7 Bow for Whitetail and Hogs Remington R-15 .223 REM for predators I also like to "hunt" sporting clays with my Benelli SuperSport!

Remington 700 series out of the box and priced right. I have several that are tack drivers. If you want a custom made gun for a Great price have someone put a Shaw barrell on for you. Priced right and tack drivers.

My Sako in 222 remington is by far what I'd call, my most accurate out of the box rifle. It will shoot anything I feed it exceptionally well. And given the right handloads it'll shoot in the .2"'s (and those are five shot groups). I have even shot a few ten shot groups in the .4"'s with it. And it's a sporter weight barrel. That thing just puts them in the same spot every single time.
