Well it has been a hectic 60 days but we finally closed on some duck hunting property. It is a small tract of 65 acres that is 55 acres of seasonal wetlands. I've duck hunted this property for about 4 seasons with the past landowners. It's the bottomlands of a larger tract that is owned by an older gentleman that needed the money in this economy. The land wasn't good for running cattle so he decided to sell it. Thinking of putting up a hunting cabin over the next few years. I want to have a bunk house so I can use it as a youth ministry tool for those kids that don't have land to hunt on. A buddy and myself have been doing that with some other property we have access to and it has been wonderful.
I'm glad that it all came together and that God provided me the necessary means to have my own little place. I took some pics of it this past weekend:

The SouthEast part of the property has some good natural groceries, but the Northwest needs some work. Gonna be a good off season project.
