It seems the deer hunting is not as good as it used to be!! Has anyone else noticed this or is just our property or what? Also just wondering what everyone else is paying in the area?

I was just talking about this in another thread and you are right about it being sloooow this year!

I hunt a few miles north east of Robert Lee and I am only seeing about 5 or 6 deer on average per hunt! Usually that number would be 15-20!

I will be out there again next week tough trying to find a buck worth taking!

Biologist that flew our place said numbers are down across the Concho Valley. A couple of years of low fawn crops, and yote numbers on the rise are hurting us.

Hunted coke county about 1/2 mile from river 2000-2004. Rawlins ranch. Lots of deer just not much size on the place we had. Last 2 years we found some dead deer around the tanks. Biologist where checking it out. Lots of hunting pressure were we where. Good luck, hope it gets better for y'all. Also way to many rattlers where we were.
