The owner of our lease has an old western auto .308 bolt action, with a detachable magazine rifle. It has no model number or anything like that on it. The stock is looks to have been dry cracked and it finally broke, right under the hand grip just behind the trigger housing. Would anyone know where i can find a replacement stock for an old rifle like this ?

Not sure who actually built the Western Auto rifles, but no doubt it was made by one of the major manufacturers out there (Win, Rem, etc). I have an old Sears and Roebuck rifle that was built by Win and is just a restamped model 70. A few different features on the rifle should tell who built it. If you could post some pics of it, I'm sure someone here can ID it for you.

It might be this: Revelation was the Western Auto Supply Company store brand for their rifles, shotguns, and revolvers. The Model 220B was made by Mossberg and is the same as the Mossberg 800. This is a short-action center fire bolt action rifle with a unique bolt containing 6 locking lugs in two spirals. The rifle was available in .308 Winchester, .243 Winchester, and .22-250. Under the Revelation brand, the rifle was available in standard hunting configurations. The stock was hardwood, often Walnut, with impressed checkering unique to Revelation rifles. This checkering contained an plain oval in both the forend and the pistol grip area.
All parts available for the Mossberg 800 standard sporter models will fit the Revelation 220 (including the Mannlicher stock).
If it is this one...then Boyds has as a replacement you can order...http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/Replacement-Stocks-for-OEM-Mossberg-Rifles-and-Shotguns-s/123.htm ...for $65+shipping.
Good luck.
