Usually the Rut is Mid November. At our ranch we have not seen any signs of the rut so far this year. Either it came before November or it's not in full swing just yet. Anybody hunting in Taylor county that would like to share any ideas!

I haven't seen much action. We've not had a real cold spell. I've heard a few people around us talk about bucks chasing a little bit but nothing big. Our place has been that way the last couple years. I think we've just got so many deer that they really don't go at it all that hard. Get in the blind tomorrow and wednesday...supposed to be cold and might get them moving...unfortunately I'll be in New Orleans all week...

It's suppose to snow tomorrow and the high is 38 degrees. We'll check it out in the morning. I was out this morning and afternoon and saw a bunch of does together.

I was hunting in Lawn last week during Thanksgiving. The bucks seemed to be running the does all over our place.

First week of the season I had bucks running does all over. In my back yard the next week it was the same thing.....With that said I have not seen jack out of the rut since. I think that the first part (the chase) is over in Taylor. At least south Taylor. I see 10-15 does each hunt.......no bucks looking for them at all.

The week before gun season saw lots of chasing. Since the opener NOTHING chasing. Had two big boys at the feeder this am first time I've seen two together since gun season opened. Not sure what happened to them but they are acting weird this year. Hope the two big boys show up again tomorrow so the wife can plug one of them.

overall very slow...been out almost every weekend since the beginning of bow season...too many acorns and too much to eat...

Just started coming to the feeders 2 weeks ago....some chasing in the younger deer....
