Well Im headed out to the lease next week (thurs-wends) and just wanted to see what was happening with the deer ahead of time as Bow hunting trip was poor.
Where outside of Junction on the south end of Town, anybody in this area ? if so what are you seeing patern wise ?
Thanks in advance Nicholas

The rut is over and deer still are not coming to feeders here at the sutton/kimble county line.

We were hunting about 8 miles west of Junction off 377...had about 60 hunts, took 1 11 pt, 2 doe, and 1 spike...so hunting pretty bad...very few deer on feeders yet. Hopefully this cold and wet will shake them up... Good Luck

We are 15 miles outside of Junction. This has been a horrible year for us and most our neighbors. It's as if the deer have vanished. Acorns are aplenty and there is corn piling up under the feeders. Was down over Thanksgiving and saw a few deer. Never once touched the mound of corn under the feeders. Hopefully once all the acorns are cleaned up, things will pick up.

Same story for our place about 2 miles south of Junction. The oats fields were full of Axis though, just no Whitetails. Rain and cold coming in this week should get them back on the corn.

Our place south of Junction has sooooooo many acorns in the woods that deer are not coming to the feeders. Till the acorns are ate up or go bad, the feeders will be scarce of deer. Rut is about over and a big full moon is glowing. I will go back after the full moon.
