After this past saturday and the monsoon that I hunted in I decided that I was going to be prepared when I went hunting the next time. So this morning I made sure I had plenty of clothing when I left the house this morning just in case I needed it. Once we got out to our spot it was pretty warm so of course I left my big jacket in the boat thinking I wouldn't need it. Of course at about 7 the front came blowing right through us and the mist and 30 mph winds were hitting me right in the face and I was freezing my arse off. Of course I was ok with all of this because we were shooting ducks.
It seems as if the birds are coming in waves and the later we have been staying the better. We shot birds all the way up to 10 this morning which was a good lesson for us to be patient and not leave to early. We ended up with 11 teal, 2 widgeon, 1 wood duck, and 1 pintail.
It was another great hunt and were gonna give it another shot in the morning.

Since the boat I hunted out of last weekend got such an overwhelming response I figured I would post a few pics of the one I hunted out of this morning. It sure is great to have some good friends who have awesome rides!!!!

This is a 20 ft. Air Ranger and it is an amazing rig and will go anywhere and get you where the birds want to be.

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving and the duck gods bless them with full straps! Hopefully the morning hunt will pay off again.
