I shot a baby hog, had 12 come in. No pics too dark. Didn't shoot any deer. Only drank 4 beers. I did taste wild smoked hog ( delicious ).

BUT I saw alot of things for the first time I'd never seen in person.

1. Two bucks fighting ( really fighting ) trying to kill each other, only lasted about 15 seconds. One wound up with a broken main beam.

2. A Badger, 1st one I've ever seen, that was cool ! Driving the road at night he was next to the road doing whatever badgers do at night.

3. Two coyotes working a canyon wall together trying to get something to eat. Very neat the way they would work the clumps of brush, one on each side. Got to watch that for about 20 minutes. Too far to lob 30 caliber bullets at.

4. The broken main beam buck ( he also started the fight ) standing under the feeder when a lone 200 plus pound hog came in. The buck lower his head and pawed the ground and the hog took off running in the opposite direction like a rocket, that was funny as heck. Was going to shoot the hog but didn't know he was going to take off like a scared rabbit.

5. The results of using a road feeder. I put out a total of 50 pounds of corn/soy bean mix, started about 75 yards from the stand in each direction and ending about 275 yards away in each direction. I had deer from 3:00 pm until dark thirty.

6. God is good, God is very good and I'm thankful he allowed me to have the last few special days in his country.

Doesn't get much better than that, does it ?

What a fantastic 4 days! I am sure someone will start a debate with you on why you used Corn/Soy mixture and Im sure you will get a message about it couldnt have been a great hunt if you didnt kill a 180 Class monster. Its nice to see posts like this that reminds you of why you are out there in the first place! Glad you had a blast!

Sounds like a good time for sure! Alot of my more memorable trips have been one's when I didnt get anything. All the different things you get to witness while your out there make it all worth it!
