870 is junk. Benelli, Browning BPS, and my old standby Ithaca

Briley makes a choke for ANY gun. The patterns on their waterfowl chokes are awesome.

SBEII. Pretty much the best waterfowling gun for me...but when the next bigger and better thing comes out I might wait a year or so and buy that. Nothing is out there right now that does it for me but there are some things that have raised my eye brows.

Two 870 Expresses. I shoot one my son shoots the other. Takes extreme abuse and keeps coming back for more. I will eventually upgrade to autoloaders but these two will be along for a back up.

Being different as usual for me. Though I do have some 12 Ga guns I still keep reaching for the 10 most of the time.
My Ithaca Mag 10 has been upgraded to a Gold 10.
Before the cannon comments come, note my reload of the moment has been 1 1/8 #3 steel at 1600 fps and IC choke. Gives a wonderful pattern.

I think the 870 is the most popular shotgun out there, if I was coordinated enough to shoot a pump gun it would be a BPS though. Since I'm not I shoot an M-1 Benelli

I have 4 10ga's and i love them all. I goose hunt a lot. 2 Ithaca Mag 10s one with a 26 with interchangable chokes and one with a 30in full. A Browning BPS with 30 in and a classic Marlin Super Goose 10 with a 34 in full choke. All of them are great guns.

The 870 Wingmaster as you are shooting is a higher quality gun than the 870 Express that most folks are shooting. The junk 870 I am reffereing to are the Express models. I have owned several. Every one malfunctioned horribly at one point or another. Even with regular cleaning and maintenance. I had an 870 in 20, 12, and supermag 12. I got rid of all of them but the 20 cause it was my first gun. I watched on 3 seperate occasions an 870 supermag jam beyond field repair under normal hunting condidtions. My browning has never once misfed or malfunctioned after 20+ years of service from my father to me. I will never by another Remington shotgun but they make great rifles.

Mostly due to the fact that it's one of the least expensive guns out there. Winchester Experts are probably the most popular steel shotgun shells...reason being they are cheap. I bet not too many seasoned duck hunters have not shot experts a time or two at least.

Once I held it I couldn't go home with out. I hunt the coast a bunch and it not really a enviorment for my citori.... well atleast until I get it dipped

Got a hell of a deal on my Maxus at Cabela's employee discount plus I had $200 in Cabela's points
