Have seen Lions in Edwards county, Kimble County, Dallas County, Tarrant County, Denton County, Throckmorton County, Baylor County, Young County & Archer County smile If you spend enuff time in the outdoors either sitting in a deer blind or spot & stalk hunting you will see them. There has not been a documented case of a Lion attacking a human here in Texas in the last 50 year probably more!

Last January a friend and I saw a small mountain lion on Lake Belton near Morgan's Point. We were in a boat fishing in the back of a creek. At first thought it was a large bobcat until we noticed the long distinctive tail.

Talked to the sheriff here in Erath county the other day and he said a juvenile mountain lion was killed by a car on a county road in the North part of the county towards Huckabay last week.

If you're familiar with the area, saw it really close to where CR 231 and CR 219 meet. Neighbors have seen it too back towards CR 235 right off that high fence place.

A guy on our lease spotted a cat 300 yrds from our camp in Pecos Co.

This was before we had pluming in the camp house.

Running joke was that if you had the cold nose of a cat bump you in the butt while dropping a duece, dont look back and run like he77!!!

I have spotted one in hunt county. the sabine river bottoms where a pipeline runs through.

Also seen one in rains county on our place varmint hunting,

We didn't take the shot because we didn't know what it was till it spooked and hauled @$$. Next day rancher on property next to us said he seen it checking cows, found afterbirth but no calf.

Dad saw 3 in Coreyell County/ Gatesville. Friend saw one in COLLIN COUNTY! 3 days ago. We were thinking the coyotes were getting out of hand by the number of dead or injured calves, but I bet this cat has something to do with it. The 5' x 10' x 4' tall trap is in the shop right now, hopefully it'll be finished and set by Saturday.
