I havent seen any postings on here about this so I thought I would inform. Evidentley, a rancher/farmer in that area was trying to get rid of some hogs and in doing so put out some (pesticide I think) with corn. He was succesful in ridding many of the hogs but also this has been found in some of the deer as well. The meat processors in the area should be aware but remember the amount of travel some of the game in the area will do and ability to spread this stuff. Just be aware. Supposedly this guy is being charged as he should. Totally irresponsible.

Yep. Estimation is you can't find a deer within a 10mile radius of his place.

I believe Temik was used. I have never heard of a good ending with that stuff.

It was Temik and the farmer is apparently in a bit of trouble.

I would guess that TP&W is the least of his worries. Last I heard the federal wildlife and EPA were looking at this. The state will probably get seconds on this case.

I would guess this that its likley taking place, all over texas and other areas, due to producers being tired of hogs .I first heard of it(4-5th hand) in 02 ,when it was going on near bardwell, after multiple friendly fire critters were involved, it ended, with burial, It apparently really does overdo the job, Gov.generates alot of bs warnings but not this one,
