Anybody have tips on how to get a mt. lion to come in? What kind of calls or bait do you use?

baby goat tied to tree, not sure if that is legal but sure sounds like it would work

why wouldnt u be able to tie a goat to a tree??? and btw, that is how u call in a T rex, not a lion!! havent u seen jurassic park!!!

Sounds good, I bet it would work, maybe throw out a gut pile for some smell and tie a baby goat up by there

How about tying some gun-grabbin' politicians to a tree and spare the innocent goat.

What signs are you seeing, making you think you have them? Are there any long scratches on cattle or deers hind quarters? i have done quite a bit of calling, never with the hopes of getting a lion. They have a really large territory that they travel. If you see one, they might be 30 miles away the next day. Its not quite the same, but i watched a show on i believe the science channel, swamp monsters or something like that. They had guy's ridding on donkey's. As soon as they donkey would stop and refuse to go no further they brought in the dogs. they had to do it early in the morning before the dogs lost scent due to heat. they where after jaguars, but they behave like lions when hunted with dogs

The guy that hunts acorss the road from us have pics of one. He has about 30 cams set out and caught the lion on about 4 of them trying to catch a deer.. There are pics from 3 day period so it looks like he is hanging around.

If you get a shot on it or even see it you have stumbled upon luck alone.... They are smart, weary, and will not run into a call like a yote, buck etc... Good luck with that one because thats the only thing thats in your favor... Also keep in mind that the only aid in your favor is to increase time spent patiently waiting, looking, and hope....
