it is high fence if that makes any difference in the age/sizing
Stuff my dad said in the deer blind
"I can dive deeper and come up drier" "did you do that?"

I'm no expert but I have shot a few and I am making a comparison with those I've seen on the hoof and those I shot that I know the measurements of. I'd say 23"-25" and 3 yrs old.

Hes no 30incher but is really bulky. Must be all the corn or protein. Give him another 2 or 3 years to get thicker bosses and that nice cholate colored coat. Thats just my 2 cents.

He definitely has potential to turn into a nice ram if you leave him for another 3-4 years.

thanks for the input guys.
we have many like that, bulky, but not huge on the horns. we will take a few aoudad this year, but will likely just take ewes since we need to let these rams grow some more. they breed like rabbits and are really hard to find when i am on the ranch.

24 inches or so and aound 3-4. They are best around 8 or older. He is going to be a good one.

He's young, Jay. Look at his mass and his chaps. His horns are starting to hook though so he's getting there...couple years maybe. There's an older one out there I've got pics of that I'll send to you.
Glad to see him eating your corn for a change. I call him spot (white between the horns) and he and his herem have been camped at my place long enough.

He has a long way to go. By the time he has grown into a trophy he will weigh 300 lbs plus. He will eventually wreck your feeder by ramming the legs if he is like the ones we deal with each year. Those big rams are brutal on equipment. Better stay on those ewes or they will overpopulate on you fast. We enjoy eating the ewes but have never tried one of the big rams, too old and too tough but make great dog food for the rancher and his 13 pets. Hey Bear Creek we see that white patch on some of our aoudads as well, mostly the ewes. Good hunting:) Mark

Looks like a 3-4 year old aoudad like what we used to raise when I worked on ranch out near Eden in the early '90's. Horn length I would say somewhere between 22"-24". I have two on my ranch right now just a bit bigger than that right now.
I would say it needs about 4-6 more years to get to be close to a BIG aoudad. Kinda depends on what your hunting him with too as far as calling it a trophy. Because if I was hunting it with my bow I'd let the air out of that without giving it a second thought. Those aoudad can be some spooky critters.

not big enough to shoot imo
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.
