Hey guys, I am new here but been on the Fishing Forum for awhile now. This topic may have been disscussed but how do ya'll fell abbout the Rage? Everyone I talk to except for the guys who sell them at the Bow Shop can't stand them. Talked to a ranch owner who was considering banning them on his ranch. I think they slow down too much on impact. Never had one exit an animal, 1 doe and 1 hog. They only advertise large entry wounds they fail to mention exit wounds. What do you guys think? Reps need not reply I know your opinions already, Ha.

I've never used them, but was considering them this year. They look similar to the Spitfire's, but open differently. I've had great success with the Spitfire's and had a pass through with every deer I've shot. If anyone has used both, Rage and Spitfire, how do they compare?

Not a stalk and spot head... passtru is more about shot placement then broad head IMO.... Especially with today mordern 300fts plus bows with high KE.
I like rage, just make sure they are snapped in well to the o-ring, and your good to go.
But I do carry slick tricks and blood runners for when shooting thru net. Haven't killed anything witht he bloodrunners yet.
Rage and Slicks are pretty hard to beat

I can't get fixed broadheads to fly right out of my Bowtech, even with trying to tune them. I shot the hog Broad side at 20 yds hit nothing but ribs with no pass through. Since i was in a tree the entry was up high meaning no blood trail. Oh it killed him quick but no bloodtrail. Had a friend go on a Buffalo hunt. 1st Arrow Montech went completely in. He used a Rage on second arrow 6 inches of penetration, broadside. I was thinking about trying the Swacker but only know what Hank Parker says about them but he is a spokesman so who knows.

i bought the rage 2 blades, and they fly fine, and seem to open on impact, but i'm nervous about how loose the blades feel. I can't get them to LOCK down. May be user error. I went back to the NAP spitfires
I'm thankful for the things i have and all the things i don't

I have used Rage for the past 2 years. The only time that I did not get a pass thru was the buck I shot last week. Check out the pics in the photo section "first buck this season-Coke co.". We have shot 9 between my wife and I. She shoots a 42# Parker and has had 3 pass thru's with the 3 blade. Haven't seen one run over 40 or so yards yet.

Appreciate the comments folks! Guess broadheads are like bullets different strokes for different folks. I am still hunting with the Rage need to stick a few more before my final decision. Figured there would be more of "worst ever" comments. Good Luck to all, shoot straight!

I dont like them I went back to my Grim Reapers. I never lost a deer till the rage. I made a good shot and the blood trail faded away after 30 yds. I gave them away and went back to what worked.

I have no problem with anyone shooting any broadhead, arrow, bow, sight, rest, release, etc. that they want. I do find it EXTREMELY entertaining when people blame equipment when they lose a deer. Does equipment fail? Sure. I can tell you that I've shot alot of deer with a bow and have hunted on a bow only lease for years. When a deer is lost and we go back and look at video of the shot it seems like AT LEAST 95% of the time it was poor shot placement by the hunter and not anything having to do with the equipment.
Now bring on the flames. You guys go ahead and tell me how you have shot hundreds of deer with archery tackle and the only deer you have ever lost was due to equipment failure.

Well the last three deer I have seen shot with 2 and 3 blade rage and here are the results: I shot a doe , had complete pass through and blood on the arrow. No blood trail and never found the deer looked 4 days in a row. My buddy shot a Spike again no blood trail hit at the last rib on right side quartering away, entrance wound was plugged by guts and no blood on the exit wound in front left shoulder, I found the deer about 100 yards away. Third deer was a buck I shot broadside at 21 yards, great blood trail, no pass through, deer staggered 25 yards and pileded up in plain view. Unbelievable entry hole and buried in the other shoulder. I am not really impressed but as others have said shot placement is key. Not a good broadhead for stalking as it doesn't seem to stay set if moved around alot. I will probably keep using it unless I try the slick tricks.

My three pack of Rage 2 blades:
1st shot: I shot at a doe and hit the mic wire on my CB. The bow wrenched and the arrow stuck in a tree. Great entry wound with solid penitration but no pass through....
2nd shot: I shot a huge hog(well over 300) with a two blade rage and buried the arrow on a broadside shot 6 inches from the fletching. I never found a drop of blood or the hog, went back and looked the next day.
3rd shot: I shot a doe making a huge entry wound breaking a rib on the oppisite side and about at 3/4 inch hole where the arrow poked through but didn't come out. The doe broke the arrow off and blood poured out like crazy; easiest blood trail in the dark ever and 50 yards later there she was.
I'll keep shooting them because of their accuracy. I'd shot Thunderheads for years but never got them to be as accurate as these are.
