I will be graduating in December and will be moving to the San Antonio area. I don't want to know lakes or anything just wanted to know if there is decent hunting around there or if i'm completely screwed? Thanks for any help!

Where are you hunting now?

I'd say you have multiple areas to hunt. I can't say it enough for someone coming to or moving to a new area of Texas, you need to get the book Texas Waterfowl.

you should drive to wherever your current hunting partner is and hunt with him when you move to San Antonio

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

I grew up in Kerrville and know the area pretty well. I can't vouch for the duck hunting as I just got in to it a few years ago. Dove hunting is amazing down there, I grew up hunting Hondo, Dilley, Uvalde and numerouse other spots all close to SA. Dove hunts are getting a lot more expensive South of SA but you can still find afforadble places.
The rivers can provide lots of entertainment...fishing, floating, or just cooling off.
PM me if you have any questions and I'll try and help.
