I went coyote hunting in Haskell today saw 4 does and all 4 of them had a buck laying right beside them. All good mature bucks 115" being the smallest and biggest being 150"+.

Biggest one we saw was in Throckmorton County.

The rut is on in Knox County as well (just north of Throckmorton).

It's not here yet west of olney. All I've seen are small bucks chasing. The bigger and older deer are paying the does no attention at all.

I wouldn't say the rut is on. We hunted Knox pretty heavy this past weekend and the only thing chasing was small eights and young bucks. Expect to start seeing the big boys this weekend through the weekend after Thanksgiving

I spent all last week at my lease in Young Co. and saw no sign of rut activity.
I did hear on the news this evening that it got down into the 20's this morning. Maybe that will kickstart the rut in that area.

I stuck a 7 point in Tom Green County (San Angelo) and he was chasing the ladies pretty hard. Ive watched several bucks the past week chasing tail.
