For over 40 years, I have been skeptical of the Warren Commission's conclusion that a single bullet struck President Kennedy and Governor Connally. So this week my daughter reports that my son-in-law dropped two deer with one bullet from a tower blind, downward trajectory, with the deer near one another but not that close. Has anyone else heard of incidents like this?

Never heard of anything like that with the bullet coming at a downward angle. If it was straight on then it would be easy, I've got some 540 grain ammo for my 45/70 an there's no tellin how many deer those would go through before stopping.

Has anyone else heard of incidents like this? The Discovery channel was able to successfully prove that a single bullet struck JFK and Connally down to the exact injuries and keyhole entry wound in the gov's back. I'll see if I can't pull it up for ya!

mine was from a tower blind, and it went through the first deer right in the kill zone, and then into the neck of the second, they werent close at all, and the bullet did not go through the other deer.

Nope, they proved that it was possible with a tower, the same gun and gelatin bodies in the same position, everything was the same simulated.
And dont get me started on this theory about JFK, my uncle and grandfather were so called part of the conspiracy, dont believe everything you hear or read.

Another odd shot, a 44mag 94, caddo cedar breaks 20 yard shot, buck hit broad side on shoulder, shed jacket on 2nd shoulder, out brisket, cut a does jugular standing 10-20 feet in front of buck. that was a full 90* ricochet, jacket was quarter size.

Totally possible... The deer I killed on Fo4/Gordon's land I shot him in the right hind quarter at a downward angle of about 15-20 degress, the bullet came out from the front of his right rear leg, traveled up between the ribcage and skin where apparently it made a left turn and turned his right lung into jello and pierced his heart and left lung.
***Deer was shot offhand, on the run going away from me bearing 030. Gotta love butt shots that are pretty much DRT!

I had one on a downward go through, skip off the rocks behind and hit a second deer randomly in the body. First deer dropped and a second blood trail headed away form the feeder. Took me forever to try to figure out what the hell had happened. Then it dawned on me. I never found that other deer though.
A deer my best friend took was taken at a downward angel as well. Axis deer shot through the shoulder .30-06 goes through the impact side deflects off of a rib, goes all the way down the lenght of the body and then come out in the right back ham. Dad took one that was similar to that where the round went through one shoulder and came out the hind end of the animal. Remington Coreloks were the bullets of choice with the rounds that came out the hind ends on a shoulder shot .30-06 on Axis. After that I never fired another Corelok round. They suck.

I shot all 4 legs off a doe from a 16 foot tower when I was a kid. I swear I only shot once (although witness reports claim their were 4-5 shots fired).

Dont forget the possibility of 2 shooters, lol. Could of been some one else was taking a shot at the same time? With 1 shooter it is possible with a weak crappy round. Enough to go through flesh but weak enough to bounce off of bone. When bullets are flying ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
