I want my first to be a banded bird. Then I will start my collection.

I have never had one done, but when I start I would do it in this order if I got the birds.

Green head
Woodrow
Pintail
Wigeon
Green Wing
Blue Wing

What if its a hen??? or a juvenile??? Why not just cut off the band and spend the money on a duck thats rare, or fully plume?? confused2

What's more rare than a banded bird? You want to have the actual bird on the wall. It is the story behind the bird that matters.

I see that, I would probably just put it on my lanyard too, if I thought I would shoot more than 1 or 2 in a lifetime.

I band on my cheapo lanyard would just look kind of sad smile

I pulled the band off my first one and had it on my lanyard about 5 minutes later, then kept hunting. Then I ate the duck.

Should have went with birdworks on the mounts.

I think I have decided that I really want a redhead for the wall this year.
