Father-n-law seen one last month between Denton and Decatur north of 380. Seen her about 70 yards from where he'd been throwing corn and crab apples to bow hunt. If it would have been gun season, I'd have pictures!! Hasn't seen her since!!!!!

I USED TO HUNT AT DAVEY CROCKETT NF AT THE HORSE CAMP NEAR KENNARD. I WAS IN A CLIMBING STAND ONE MORNIG AND GOT DOWN TO WALK TO ANOTHER SPOT. WAS WALKING DOWN A TRAIL ON THE BACK EDGE OF THE WOODS WITH A HAY FIELD TO MY LEFT WITH A BOX BLIND IN THE CORNER OF THE FIELD. ABOUT 125 YARDS OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD,THERE WAS A TYPICAL TAN MOUNTAIN LION WALKING LEFT TO RIGHT TOWARDS ANOTHER PASTURE AND A HOUSE.ABOUT 5 MINUTES LATER,THE DOGS AT THE HOUSE WENT APE**** . I WENT UP TO THE HOUSE WHEN I SAW THE MAN WALK OUT INTO THE YARD AND TOLD HIM ABOUT THE CAT. HE SAID HE HAD ALREADY LOST A COLT TO THE CAT EARLIER THAT YEAR. THIS WAS IN 2005. MY BUDDY ALSO SAW A BLACK BEAR IN THE NORTH BOGGY SLOUGH AREA OF THE PARK THAT SAME YEAR.

Man this post was old.
Where is your place in Montague that the lion was spotted? Saw a deer running with flag up the other night and nothing was chasing it. Yotes were going crazy though for hours.

wow a thread from 05 brought back to life??? LOL! I was blown away to see CHC posting.....Then I saw the date I know of two lions killed in Taylor county this year that prob were not reported. There are more lions out there than people think and a lot are killed that are never reported.
