If you don't want to build one, Avery's QuickSet Blind is the way to go. It can be difficult to put together, but I didn't find it that bad.

Mine is great and has lasted forever!!

If you want to kill ducks get as far away as possible from the boat.

They are expensive to buy a good one. There were some instructions on here before on how to build one.

I killed a limit from my boat blind on last Sat. on public water. I have also made several home made ones and have hunted out of the avery blind, and what I own now and like the best is my Beavertail boat blind. If you plan on having it awhile just go ahead and spend them money to get one. When picking one it's all about convenience and optioning. What sold me was unlike the avery I can take mine off VERY EASILY and by myself whether at home or in the field. I have no complaints so far about my Beavertail!

I picked up a used Mud Buddy a couple of seasons ago. Mainly I wanted to keep my 10 year old high and dry, but I used it a lot when the water levels were low. With no cover it works surprisingly well.

Now that the water is up I'm not using it as much unless my son is out with me. When it gets cold, windy, and raining/sleeting it is very nice to have some protection.
