Thats better then some people I've seen. I saw a guy last weekend park under his stand. Hmmmm.... Wonder why he didn't see anything! I park as far away as I think will keep me out of there direction of travel to the stand and feeder.

I parked my Gator under my stand and saw 4 bucks and 5 does at the feeder. Feeder was 157 yards from my stand. Probably depends on what type of country you are hunting in. Virgin forest, yeah a deer will hype out seeing a vehicle. Farm country or around houses or small acreages, deer are much more tolerant. But I do not think hiring a helicopter to fly you into your stand is necessary.

I try to park close enough so my empty beer cans land in the bed of the truck when I throw em out of the stand.

Well I park my big loud Arctic Cat about 20 yards from my stand every morning, drive back in that afternoon. I also drive around the lease all the time on it. I see tons of deer. I shot a nice 10 pointer and a spike opening weekend. I had several deer walk right by it as well. I always fill my tags every year on a small lease in east texas. By buddy on this same lease parks his bike right under his stand and has never had a problem there either. Deer don't seem to mind. They adapt and get use to hearing them. I am at my lease every weekend year round though doing something. Hope this helps.

I park about 150 yards away and usually hide it in the brush. I've walked up to within sight of it and seen a young buck snorting and stomping at it. I've never had a problem with parking close. I saw deer all weekend and parked in the same spot.

Depends on your area in my opinion. My old lease had vehicles on it all the time. I parked in the road about 50 yards from my stand and a nice buck walked right up to it and around it without giving it second look. Never had any trouble seeing game.
My new place on the other hand is very secluded and has no vehicular activity other than us. I now park far away.

i south texas we cut a lane that allows us to park within 20 yards of the stand...so some stands we have to walk aways though
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

It all depends on how used to the vehicles the deer are. If you drive a gasoline pickup and are on the place weekly or more, they get used to it and they will take a look and keep doing their business, change to a diesel and they will be on alert and vice versa. If you drive the place almost every weekend with an ATV during the off season they get used to it and it doesn't present any danger they soon just glance at it.
But if you only use it at the time you are shooting at them the ATV or pickup represents danger and they will scatter at the sound of it. It is all about trained noises and scents, just like the feeder going off. Even after the season starts, if they have become comfortable during the previous months it takes a while for them to realize there is danger in that ATV or pickup.

Our landowner is driving on the property daily so trucks dont bother them at all. We have actually hunted out of the truck when its been rainy or really cold and been to chicken to tuff it out and shot deer out the window! If the truck is parked somewhere when they walk out they just seem to look around and then go about their business

You need to check your terrain. I have two main spots I like to hunt. At one of them, I park about 50 yards from the stand right on the fenceline. The truck is down in a low spot and a deer would literally have to get real cloe to see it.
My other spot, parking anywhere close would be a problem. I park about a half-mile away much of the time.
That being said, I don't think there is one, correct answer to this question. My only advice would be to make sure you don't park along the deer's major trails.

I useally park a Kawasaki Mule bout a 100 yds from my stand on the sendero in the brush. But there is no way a deer or anything else can see it from where I hunt or where my feedpen is, the brush is just too thick.
Bartender, bring me anything except brake fluid, cause I don't plan on stopping!

There are so many variables in this situation its hard to give a good answer or advice on what you should personally do.
It just depends on the surroundings and how frequently the deer hears those sounds ... I wouldn't ever drive up all the way, but that is just a personal preference. I don't want to disturb a bedding spot or area that a deer could be trying to claim. I walk maybe 100 yards, and stay off the natural deer trails as much as possible. You cant always avoid it, but I try my hardest to.

Some public land I've been hitting I like to keep my truck in sight I don't like it because it seems to close to one of the main deer trails. But one morning from 300 yards away I watched a doe and a youngn' she had with her graze pretty much right next to it. Those two moved on after a little while.
Then walking back about 2 hours later about 20 steps from my truck a big doe jumped up to my left and took off running. She was bed down not more then 20 yards from my truck.

I leave the atv parked at the cabin and walk the 3/4 mile to my favorite ridge line. Once the deer is on the ground, THEN i go get the atv. Everybodys situation is different though. If the local farmer is always in and around the field in his ole pick up then the deer are probally used to it...If you're hunting a place where peoples "presence" is rare, then you're probally better off hoofin it. You can drive in and sure you'll see deer, but I'm of the ilk that if you're hunting "The Wallhanger", stealth mode will likely increase your chances at that encounter. Remember..he didnt get that big by being stupid.
