My current understanding is that it's illegal to concealed carry on public hunting lakes and (or) COE property. Is there any evidence to contest this or am I pretty much spot on? Does the "toxicity" (lead) play a factor in carrying a firearm while duck hunting over waters?
The spark for this question comes from roofer's recent hog encounter, and how well BB Steel shot would be effective, as opposed to a decent sized pistol round.

i called the game wardens office last spring and talked to them about havings guns in the boat outside of duck season. they said it's illegal to have a gun in the boat outside duck season unless it's a concealed handgun(and you have a CHL)
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

Unless they have a 30.06 sign at the check in station it's legal to carry. The only federal properties it's ILLEGAL to carry are place like the post office, court houses and all the other government buildings the told you about in your chl class.
I carry my G23 on me on my boat year round. Never leave a weapon in a vehicle even if it's just for a few minutes.

Could you open carry on WMA's? Figure that if you can walk around with a long gun then it wouldn't be a problem.

Many WMAs have signs that it is illegal to have a rifle or handgun in your possession or fire them. The thing is it does not apply to concealed weapons, but it has to be a concealed weapon, not open carry.
