Everytime I see a title about taxi work, i cringe, because 9 times out of 10 I think the bird looks like an epileptic 2nd grader did it.
Yours does not. Very nice bird.

Richard Reeves of Reeves taxidermy in Baytown did the bird for me. He does very good work and is reasonably priced.

Nice, redhead is a cool duck, love to see them zoom by on a sunny day. That band looks tight though around the leg, does it freely move up and down, or is it really tight like it looks in the pic? Tell us about the band.

Guy,
The Redhead came on the last weekend of the season last year on a weekend trip to Rockport. After an unproductive morning hunt we scouted out new areas and found an area that was having alot of fly by action on it so we got set up. As one of my buddies was walking back from hiding the boat a group of about 100 redheads flew over his head and right at us. I pick him out of the middle of the group and he had the band.
Mr. Reeves has been doing taxidermy for over 30 years and was told that this is the oldest band that he has seen. The band was very tight on the birds leg when I took it and so it stays that way on the mount. We were not able to get the numbers off of it so I dont know the history or this duck.

I have a readhead mount in a very similar position (ripping in). Except mine doesn't have any jewelry on it. Nice.....
