.223 or .22-250 are my preference. Any good flat shooting rifle will do the job, but one that let's you get back on target quickly is key.

To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

I prefer .223. I shoot this caliber in a Remington R-15 and love it.

Like was said further up 204, 223, 22-250, 220 Swift they are all great coyote rounds. I've killed quite a few with a 22 Hornet

Bartender, bring me anything except brake fluid, cause I don't plan on stopping!

i am going to try the 243 this year in a 55 grain bullet. picked up one in a remington r-25 couple of weeks ago. very accurate and fun to shoot.

I once drank muddy water out of a hoof print and was dang glad to get it.

.22-250 or .220 swift....imo a .223 isnt as hard a hitter as the other two

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

We like to use 308. that way if hunting at night and you can't see the vitals it will still kill it without it running off which is critical to winning the varmint contest.

....whatever I have at the time!

223 target rifle or M4 Carbine, 6mm M700, 30/06 M70, M1 Garand, 22 mag, whatever.....

If it's a planned outing for 'yotes, the Ruger M77 Target in 223 with a 6-24 power scope.

5.56 in an AR15 platform. You can get lots of prctice without breaking the pocketbook on ammo. If you are planning on mounting optics give Leupold's Mark AR a look.

I use a rock river ar15 .223 for the multiple shot potential. Would love to have a 22-250 in an ar platform.

My brother in law has a .204 AR for sale right now. Would be a ridiculous coyote/varmint gun.
