Shot the new Mathews Z7 today, all I can say is NOT BAD. I heard some were complaining about the draw being tough or rough, I could not feel it. The bow was set about 62lbs, so I did not try it maxed. No hand shock and pretty quiet. Set at 62# and just a shop arrow is was shooting 280 fps. Like I saw not bad.

I shot it this week also. Not bad is accurate. Felt good on my hand, no hand shock, and quite. Not the smoothest mathews has produced. The looks would take some getting used to also. But over all it was ok. What did you all think of the new Monkey Tails?

Still going to shoot the others then decide.

Whoever said the bow was ruff drawing has not had it in their hands. I shoot the Reezen 6.5 and the Z7 is smoother than the Reezen. Yes, its slower, but still a great shooting bow. I still personally feel the Reezen is lighter than the Z7, even though it says opposite.

I currently shoot a Drenalin LD. I love that bow. Best shooting (smooth draw, no hand shock, forgiving, etc.) that I have ever owned. Went by the archery shop last week to pick up some arrows and decided to fling a few out of the Z7. I loved that bow. Shot the Maxxis too. It was great. I prefer the draw cycle of the Z7 but I really like both of them alot. Tried the Monster and Reezen last year but didn't like either one. I would have gone with the AlphaMax if I had to choose last year. This year, the Z7 is the bow that I will likely buy. Now I just have to sell my Drenalin LD!
