That is strange. I thought that if it was a doe that it would never come out of velvet. Not enough testosterone to harden the horns or something...

Congrats.. very suprising it was hard horned, but I think there was a big 8 shot last year in Brady that was hard horned.

looks like a cactus buck to me, very unique and cool trophy That Doe's got a nice rack, congrats. Cactus buck? Clue me in guys on this one. We have a 10 pointer on our ranch that is still in velvet. Saw him last year as well, do they shed their antlers each year but just do not shed the velvet?
