How long does it take you to drive to where you hunt? I'm trying to keep it to under 6 hrs, but having a hard time. Am I being unreasonable - is 6 hrs too short? I'm near Houston.

1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours, and 9 hours....depending on where I'm going

15 minutes to 10 hours, depending on Cass county, Collingsworth county, or SW KS.

5.5 hrs to one place....20 minutes to another. You can find real good leases within 2 hrs of Houston.

2 hours tops from Dallas. You can never be too far from Houston though.

4.5 hours to 9 hours depending on whether it is Freer or Sanderson (from Houston)

I'm trying to keep it under 9 hrs but 11 is my limit. I have little choice since I moved to Louisiana.

5 hrs from Dallas to Menard County. We have guys on our place from Houston, which is probably a little bit further. If I lived in Houston, I would look for a lease in South Texas. Head down 59 about 3 or 4 hours and you're golden. South Texas is just too far from Dallas for me.

2 1/2 to my ranch and about 5 to my lease
