I am just East of you by the lake, pretty slow last weekend for me. And I thought it would be perfect with the weather. I am guessing the moon messed it up. Seeing more dead deer on the road so I know they are moving more.

I hunt 10 miles or so south of hamilton. I know deer quit coming to the feeder about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Lots of tracks in the turnip patch

I live and hunt just outside of Gatesville, two bucks running six doe behind the house yesterday morning. On the way in to town the last couple of mornings I have been seeing deer in some odd places...mainly small bucks with doe. I also guide on a ranch outside of Oglesby and yesterday all hours of the day we were seeing bucks move with a doe here and there. Seems to me like things are about to get going pretty good.

Bucks are chasing, but the does are not quite ready, needing a good cold spell
deer have slacked off coming to the feeders, probably because of the acorn crop this year, really good supply of protien for them this year
Turkeys are a different story this year, have seen more turkeys on my game cam this year 12-15 in a pack at the feeder

I hunted last weekend in evant. Saturday morning 39 degrees and deer moving everywhere, all small bucks and does. Saturday afternoon got warm and only seen does that did come to feeders but real late. Sunday morning got busted by legal buck, and saw a few moving in the distance. Kinda worried about warm weather for opening weekend.
