I think I have decided to put a Burris Fulfield II on my new Tikka 25-06. Just wanted to get others opinions. How does the glass hold up? Is their warranty division good? Pros? Cons? Other scope suggestions.
I will never be shooting over 125 yds. I am pretty sure of that. And my main game is deer and hogs.

I haven't owned a Burris but read lots of good things on here all the time about them.

Leopold has a nice 3-9x32 for abotu 125. Nice crisp image, but doesn't have adjustable turrets. Good 100yd scope as you really don't need to adjust at that range - if you do then it's windy as hell and you can just pull it off to the side.

I have 2 leopolds that value for money I think are the best. But on saying that I also have 2 Burris`s on a Tikka 7mm and 270 that clients use and they work just fine as well and have been on alot of animals.

The last two scope I've bought have been bushnell elite 4200's. They are cheaper than a Leupold and in my opinion you've got to get to a VX3 to get the glass the bushnell has. I've got a buddy that trusts his enough to put in a .416 and haul it to Africa twice. They're good scopes.

Burris is a great little scope. Got a couple of them and love'em. I wouldn't put anything else on a rifle now. Clears easier than my Leupolds and gathers light nicely. Cant say anything bad about them.

Have a pair of Burris as well. Signature Illuminated Reticle and Fullfield II. For the money they are hard to beat. Lifetime warranties and made in the USA.

No Nikons? I have a Nikon Buckmaster 3x9x40. I think for $200 it's hard to beat. I don't care for the cheaper Nikon, though.

For the same price as the Burris II look at the vortex

For the same price as the Burris II look at the vortex Now that you mention it, I got a pair of Vortex bino's that I think were a heck of a deal for the money. Might want to check into them also.

I've got a Nikon Monarch on my Tikka .270. Great scope. No complaints.

Love the Zeiss when I had one, and looked good. Found a Leupold VX-II 2x7x33 in the Cabelas Bargin Cave that was discontinued and got it for under $150. Just put it on a new .243 Encore barrel and going to try it out.

I will never be shooting over 125 yds. I am pretty sure of that. And my main game is deer and hogs. Why did you get a 25-06 for such short range use? It is an awesome mid range caliber. 200 to 400 yards is it's play ground. Don't know 'bout the scope though. I have all Luepolds.

I got a Burris Fullfield 6X some time back and mounted on my M70 30/06. IT NEVER WOULD HOLD A PATTERN.
I replaced it with a Bushnell Trophy Series 3x9 and LOVE IT. I will think real hard before buying a "top line" scope again.
This gun will not hold a pattern and it is very clear. It also has the occular adjustment on the eye piece like binoculars.
Good Luck

I had a pair of burris binos, that I had a few problems with. As far as their warranty dept. They were execellent, repaired them once, the second time they shipped me a new pair.

I can't shoot any scope with red glass for some reason as it whites out at twilight on me. My eye doctor can't figure it out as I have 20-15 vision and I'm not color blind. My pupils do expand larger than most folks under those conditions but Burris is one I can't live with.

Burris all the way. I have had one on all of my rifles from fullfield II to the Euro Diamong. Can't beat the forever warranty. Best scope...dollar for dollar, feature for feature!
