Anyone have one or had experience with one. I have seen them at Walmart and Cabela's for around $100-$150. I like them b/c you can move them easily. Any input?

I have used them for quite a few years. Very easy to put together, even easier to move, gets you off of the ground safely!! Look at the strongbuilt tripods at Academy. Cheaper than others and are a quality stand. I think the 14 footer is the perfect stand. Just depends on where you hunt.

I have 2 12' tripod stands that I have used for bowhunting for several years. They are really good because they are so portable. You do have to be careful getting in and out of them though and you don't have a lot of extra room when you are in them, but they definitely do their job.

I forgot to mention that I do have 4 of the Strongbuilt tripod stands, a 16', 14' and 2 other 12' stands. These are in addition to the 2 bowhunting tripods that I have. The Strongbuilt tripods are excellent and give you more room, but are not easily moved around. I have camo material around each of them as well as a top to keep the rain off. My 2 12' bowhunting tripods are smaller and are much more portable, but they are not nearly as comfortable as the Strongbuilt stands.

I have a Strongbuilt tripod. For a 300lbs, which I weigh, it's a tad shakey. The max weight is 300. For a smaller guy, I can see it as a great tripod. Great price on them, and they are easy to take down and put up.

I like the South Texas Tripods a little pricey but you can't beat the workmanship. So light you can carry the base in one hand and the top in the other very easy to relocate and set up.

I bought a couple of $100 ones from BPS. Made in China and I've only put one up. I wouldn't do it again. The ladder meets minimum requirements but that's all. It is comfortable when I sit down but kinda spooky when I'm going from the ladder to the seat. I haven't been there in the wind.

I have 4 different Strongbuilt tripods and 1 Gorilla tripod that I just bought this year. The quality of the Gorilla stand is head and shoulders above the Strongbuilt. They are a little harder to put together the first time but after that they would be just as easy to move. If I ever buy any more they will be Gorilla brand even if I have to order them.

I have them from 10' to 16' but I like the 14' tripods best.
