I was on Lewisville this morning fishing and the ducks are there. Mallards/teal and I thought I saw some pintails. There was a bunch. I was South of Little Elm so I'm not sure how it was up North. Made me want to go dig my decoys out. Good Hunting!!

I bet you could limit with those white dekes at Sneaky Pete's pretty quick. Just quick enough to get six in before you get hauled off to the pokey... grin

You know I thought about buying some of those white seagull decoys, write my name and address on the bottom, rig them as weighted juglines for catfish. (regulations require white to be legal for juglines). I could have a little confidence spread off to the side and catch catfish while I am duck hunting. and if they catch, they would even swimm around like real seagulls!

White duck decoys could be used too.

I have done quite a few cast and blast duck hunts where I stopped and caught catfish on the paddle back in my Canoe.

Do any of you guys know what I need to get to hunt on corps. land in little elm? I have lake access in my neighborhood and woke up to opening day gun shots this morning. I just moved back from Colorado and would love to be able to walk to the blind. Any input would be appreciated.

You need a permit from the Corps and they will give you info and map.
