Well bow season is now coming close to the end and I'm sitting in my deer Stand right now seeing nothing just like the last 24 hunts this month! I've scouted found awsome signs rubs scrapes crossings my feeder and have not seen a deer while in the stand yet! For some reason I have been more excited about hunting this year more than years past and still stay motivated every day! My boss has hunted one of my stands a few times and has seen 5 differant bucks including about a 180class 16point. I'm doing all I know to do right and guess I'll just keep putting in my dues!! FYI I've hunted my property in crockett, eastern Oklahoma, and now back at lease south ft worth. Signs all around just no sightings of game! Well iPhones going in pocket and back to eyeballing the woods.

I'm in the same boat as you guys. Too much natural stuff for them to eat. When they do come to the feeder, they take a bite or two, and then are gone.

Well its about time! I had a eventful morning at my stand! First thought I was get skunked again! Then I glassed the stand before I stood up to stretch and did not see a big doe about forty out. She saw me and blew about 9 times before running out of the area! While I was looking for toward the doe a HUGE bobcat walked under my stand! I began to draw back and he spotted me and darted off! While this was all happening a large cull 4pt jumped the fence right under me. I couldnt move because he took me by suprise. He walked off looking for the doe that was blowing at me. All in all great morning! At least got my blood flowing again.

I walked around last night during full moon, it was like full dawn. Nothing will be moving in the daylight hours with these illuminated nights. Next new moon is Nov 16, activity will be in full swing 3-4 days prior. Hundreds of years, same schedule.

Wasn't too bad for me this weekend. Saw two different spike and 5 or 6 different doe. 5 at the feeder all at once Sunday night. The other days I just caught them passing through.. eating acorns.

I'm setup with a sort of funnel that the deer travel down through and it has several nice oaks in it, between me and the feeder (about 70yards in front). I have a tree stand set up 18yrds from the feeder, but I've been having way more success, as far as close encounters, sitting in the ground blind close to the oaks.

Also, game cam is catching them at the feeder in the 12pm-2pm range.. seldom in the morning or afternoon. I spooked some out at 1pm friday when I went to check the cam.

This is in east Texas.

We are having the same type of issues at our lease in Olney. Too many acorns to come to the feeders!
