we were just talking last night about a new 270 for my wife. My Dad is the gun guy of the family, and he thought that the new Winchester model 70's made by FN at their new shop are some of the best rifles made for the money, and certainly the best Winchesters made. I have a model 70 Super Grade (30-06) my wife gave me as a wedding gift in 2001, and I think it's a good looking gun that shoots as well as I am capable of shooting. Supposedly the new Model 70's are even better than the one I have. I'm thinking about the Featherweight for her 270.

Academy carries Vanguard, but it doesn't really matter, they are $399 everywhere.

Absolutely one of the best....the Vanguards are sleepers....the best bang for your buck...I have one in 270 and am getting 1/2 moa right out of the box with Corelok 150 grains....

browning, remington, weatherby.

I like the weatherby vanguard I have, but evrything about the gun feels cheap....still shoots well. Love the remington 700s and the browning A-bolts.

Remington 700 with X-pro trigger or as noted above the CZ rifles with single set trigger will spoil you.
