Gonna build a few blinds to pay some unexpected bills. What size would be better. I know 5x7 is odd ball for materials but seems a little extra room wouldn't hurt.

5x7. Bigger is always better. I hunted out of a 4x6 last season and it was a beating, was def a one person blind. Just my .02

5x7 is much more comfortable, allows the "lean back" action.

5x7 of your choices. My dad just bought an all seasons 5x5 blind and it seems like it has lots more room than my 4x6
No doubt about the AR crap, just damn shame hunters don't have self control and knowledge

I hunt regularly in a 4x6 with 2 people and never felt cramped or uncomfortable even with 2 office chairs but 5x7 would be nice as well.

Years ago I had a 4x7 shipping container, it was like a blind and a cabin in one. 2 adults can easily hunt out of it, if only 1 it will have all kinds of extra space.

Bigger is better but not if it's too heavy and hard to fit in a trailer or pickup truck bed. That's why I like light weight 4x6 designs.

Light weight is good, two person erecting. I made mine so that all sides and roof were separate and erected in the field by one person even 10 ft elevated.

5x7 is a great size, especially if you are hunting with kids.

Most of my guns have a 26 or 28in barrel which is hard to get out of a window in a 4' blind. I build mine 7x8 for my long guns and always have at least one kid with me. I've built some 8x8 which is what I'll build them from now on just to minimise cutting.

We hunt 4x6's. Makes more sense in materials heh. We do ours a little different than most though. I build them deeper instead of wider. When 2 people are hunting I like it better to sit behind my kids/wife. this way I dont restrict their shooting at all. It makes it harder to have 2 shooters in the stand, but we rarely have 2 guns in the stand without 1 being a sidearm

I built my current one at 5x8. I started thinking 5x7 but the extra foot minimized cutting and it sure is roomy as all get out inside.

After building (2) 5 foot deep stands, I won't ever go back to a 4 footer. An extra hour cutting and the nominal cost is well worth it for the long days spent sitting in it.

We built a 4x8 and it's great for 2 adults and a kid. Next one will be a 5x8 or 6x8 for the added leg room to stretch out or recline back.

I built my current one at 5x8. I started thinking 5x7 but the extra foot minimized cutting and it sure is roomy as all get out inside. This, I have a 5x8 that has a 7 foot high roof with a residential door on it. It is everyone's favorite blind on the lease. Easily hunt 3 people and the kiddos can sleep in front or behind you on the floor if they need a nap.

Won't you have a lot of wasted material in a 5x7?

Z Just by making it 5 ft you are going to have waste but yes, with a 7 ft width it is more waste.
