Got a new personal rifle for work. I need some fixed iron sights to cowotness with an Aimpoint PRO and clear and Streamlight TLR-1 mounted on the top rail in front of the front sight. Please give me recommendations on good fixed iron sights.

I'm a big fan of the troy battle sights. There's a ton of different ones out there. Also the rock river dominator rear sights are good too. Magpul to me are meh...

Troy's are the tops why most companies like Larue and Noveske just use Troy's and put their marks on them. If you're talking about a TLR they will clear it. Also it depends on what mount you have on Aimpoint to tell if they will co-witness. Worse thing is lower 1/3 co-witness though. Most all mounts are lower 1/3 or absolute.

Ordered the DD. Now trying to decide which optic. The MRO and almost all Aimpoints are authorized, Eotechs are not.

How much you gonna spend on the optic? Aimpoint PRO is good if you dont want to spend the money on the CompM4.

I front post on my work rifle and use a Troy flip for the rear sight. I have an Aimpoint PRO and aTLR mounted a the side of the front sight post. Has been a good setup.
I have a fixed Daniel Defense rear sight on another AR and may replace my flip up with that.

We're just normal civilians so it's a fun gun for us. But we got the MRO from Larue from their website at the same price as others were selling the MRO with its standard non-qd mount. I thought it was a heck of a deal.
When I looked into sights, I realized for me that if I wanted to save a bit of money and was willing to live with a larger sight then I'd go for one of the more affordable aimpoints. However, if I wanted a smaller/micro sized sight, then the MRO was my choice. The wife wanted the lightest sight reasonably possible, therefore we now have an MRO.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

Why not put an H1 on it and be done with it? smaller, lighter, and longer battery life.

ADM has some pretty good mount/optic deals. I run all ADM mounts now. Switched them all from LaRue. Don't get me wrong LaRue is good but when you need several mounts they start to add up a lot. Plus on snipershide and ar15.com you find used ADM mounts for really good prices compared to the LaRues. Link

I know they can be left on for years at a time. While that is great and important, I still change the battery's once a year.

Nice looking gun!
I like Troy I have them on my HD rifle. I really like the diamond rear sight, just seems more intuitive and natural to me.
Just curious, do they have to be fixed? I much prefer the folding ones. Also this would eliminate the need for the light to clear it.
As for which red dot, I am a big Aimpoint fan. Great battery life. Incredible reliability. I vote T1 or H1 on an ADM lower 1/3 mount.

When did Dallas get away from Colt and Rock River only? When RR started having throats erosion after a few thousand raounds. And since Colt told them they are 8-12 months out on fulfilling their order. We can now carry: Colt Daniel Defense BCM Modern Carbine
