How much are you willing to spend? Match, hunting, self-defense? Lots of opinions on this, sort of like .30-06 vs .308.

Never heard of Trojan. Generally speaking, I think S&W, Rock River, DPMS, Windham, Colt all are good rifles for the money.
What do you want to do with it and what is your budget?

There is no best AR. Having said that, there are some really good ones, and some you should really stay away from. And just because it goes bang every time the trigger is pulled doesn't make it a quality AR, although many will try to convince you of that. This is actually a very large can of worms as folks get emotionally attached to their purchase and will not accept the fact that they didn't buy a very good rifle.
Upper tier ARs will provide you better consistency and quality rifle to rifle than many other manufacturers, and often for not much more money than lesser rifles.
Not including some custom builders out there, Colt, Daniel Defense, Bravo Company, Lewis Machine & Tool (LMT), Noveske, Knight's Armament, and Larue all produce quality rifles (at different price points to be sure) and you really couldn't go wrong with either one of them.
You just have to determine what level of quality is acceptable for your money and what will fit within your budget. Good luck.
P.S. Now here come the folks with sensitive feelings about their rifle of choice.

Like they already said, you're going to get a ton of different answers on "best", most people will say whatever they have is the one to buy. It would be easier if you find what you like then ask a bout a specific riflle here rather than the broad question of what's best.
I have taken to building my own ARs this year, but it sounds like you want a complete rifle, which is probably going the best way to go for a new AR shooter. If you have any doubts and might be selling it in the future, buying a well respected name will make flipping it at a minimal loss easier.
A lot of these rifles are geared towards tactical or hard use, with chromed barrels, quad accessory rails, forward grips etc. IMO that's not needed for hunting, personally I'd prefer a stainless barrel and a more simple, lighter hand guard.
If you can afford a high end gun like a Larue, Noveske, or LMT I'm sure it'd shoot well and be a nice piece to own. In the mid price range and for hunting, I think RRA is a good value. I've had 2 factory RRA's that have both shot very well. I've seen Stag recommended as good value, though I've never used one. Doubt you go wrong with a Colt, though I don't think I'd like any of their hand guard configurations for a rifle primarily used for hunting.
Getting one already set up like you want it will be a big part of the decision unless you're willing to customize it later.

OP - what is your budget? The list I gave you is $800 and under. The list the kry226 provided is much, much higher than that (except for Colt). I would never personally spend $1000+ on any gun, so those type of extravagances are not even a consideration for me. I've personally owned a DPMS and Rock River. Both were accurate, reliable, and fun to shoot. Not sure what the ones listed below do better than the others, but I'm sure there has to be some advantage given the enormous price difference. I don't own any ARs right now, because they're just not my cup of tea. But the two I have owned in the past were excellent firearms. There is no best AR. Having said that, there are some really good ones, and some you should really stay away from. Irons and optics always look tacky to me. I would get a flat top if your going to do a lot of hunting with it. Im not a big auto guy, but Ive have owned a few. They normally come with a ten pound red rider/Lawyer trigger, unless you buy a custom. I have a DPMS panther with the flat top, 16 inch stainless bull barrel. Man other than the crappy trigger its great, feeds good and is very accurate. I hope to drop a comp trigger in it soon. I had a Rem r 15 and it was accurate, but liked to double feed/jam. I do break my panther down every time I use it and clean it. They work so much better with extra cleanliness. The 16 inch bull barrel feels good on mine and I don't like over loaded accessorized ARs. Feels like a boat anchor out on the end.
Recently got a gym membership, strange folks! I like to show up the roid zombies with my full motion curls with the 55lb. bells. Not their cheater short stroked light weights. It's holarious.

I agree the factory trigger is not great, but it's easily fixable for not much $. RRA factory trigger is fantastic.

The problem is that words like "best" imply $$$. When I hear best, I think GA Precision, Wilson Combat, etc. While I appreciate these fine, fine rifles, my needs aren't sophisticated enough to justify the $$$, for my normal use. I own four Armalites, 2 AR15, 2 AR10, and am very happy with them. They would be considered mid-tier guns at best; I've replaced all of the triggers, and I'm very happy with what I've got.
I picked Armalite because I thought they were the best value, but the $$$/quality trade-off is one that you'll have to make for yourself.

Budget is what will determine what kind of AR you want to get. With that being said, never heard of trojan.

The best is Wilson Combat or Les Baer but again it all comes down to the best that you can afford.
In my opinion the name doesnt mean a thing.
What matters is
1. quality barrel 2. quality trigger 3. quality bcg 4. quality optic
go with a 6.8 or 6.5 if it is for purely hunting

If you're asking what the best is, the answer is easily JP.
Best for the money is a $500 DPMS Oracle at Buds.

I guess I need to google bill springfield trigger job ,because the cheapest Ive seen is 200 + tax and shipping. I could shave off some real crucial shooting seconds on hogs if the gun would go off when I pull the trigger. Try walking a couple miles in 99 degree east tx heat and then making a 300 yrd light jog down to a 75 yard stalk and then shooting hogs at 50 to 200 yards free handed with a ten pound trigger. Its hard enough to hold steady and then hold steady while trying to coax a trigger back without pulling off target that has way too much resistance. Not easy. While those cross hairs are dancing all over the hogs, I need to be able to pull fast while on kill zone and not slow.

Best AR...JP Enterprise or Lewis Machine & Tool (LMT)...all others are subjective; let your budget dictate what you can afford! Prices are all over the map!
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Pretty hard to define "best". I think the DPMS Gen 2 or Remington Gen 2 in 7mm-08 will be about the best all-around AR for hunting purposes. I see this design setting the common standard in an AR-10 series rifle.

....go with a 6.8 or 6.5 if it is for purely hunting Excellent advice. If just for hunting up to deer & hog size, I suggest 6.8 SPC.
The North has double last names. The South has double first names.

ignore all the posts on here. I guarantee you most of these guys haven't ever fired the guns they are recommending. Just decide on a budget, do some research, handle the guns you are interested, and fire them if possible before you buy. Please, please don't base your decision on the advice of Internet commandos.

Was hoping to get an AR-15. Any that yall can suggest? I was looking at Trojan firearms, what are yalls thoughts? Let's start with some questions... What are you going to be hunting? Why do you want an ar-15? How far of a shot do you need to make? Do you reload? Would you prefer to buy or build? Do you have a budget in mind? Do you have secondary needs? Competitions, plinking, etc? Or is this a hunting gun only? Asking what is the best ar is like asking what is the best car? There are a lot of options at different prices. Let's try narrowing down the list?
