Hey guys I just bought the Remington Model 770 in .270. I want to know if they're different types of gun stocks I can replace it with. I want something tactical or maybe camo. If anyone knows of a website that makes or sells the custom stocks for that rifle

Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Didn't see one on either of those. 770's are difficult to find replacement stocks for.

From stockys website
Remington 710 and 770 stocks are only available from Remington. They attach the recoil lug to the stock not the receiver so it is unlikely anyone will make a stock for it. Get a 700 if you want to customize.

Why would they do that? That seems dumb.

You're wasting your money dumping it into the 770 or 710 platform--they're Remington's disposable rifle offering. Just shoot the crap out of it and get another platform later--the Ruger American, Savage Axis, or even the Rem 783 if you want to stick w/ budget offerings.

Or just go buy a Tikka T-3 and run it as-is.

why put lipstick on a pig? sell it and combine that money with the $300 you were going to spend on a stock, and buy a Tikka. Then you'd actually have something worth having.

The Rem 770 was designed like the Ruger American. It is an entry level shoot it as you bought it gun.
