I feel like calling the drawing results line everyday. The suspense is killing me. For the archery hunts, I didn't even bother with calling. Over at TBH, everybody was having so much trouble getting thru, I got my notice of selection in the mail while people were still trying to find out their results!!! Besides, it will probably be another week or 2 by the time they draw all the gun hunts. Patience Grasshopper!!!

For the first time in several years I chose not to apply for all the deer gun hunts. I have twenty something preference points in gun deer either sex and it would not be a good year for me to go if drawn, so I can't risk throwing those away to get the preference point. It would be so easy for them to add a preference point only code and still collect the application fee. Why they don't want free money is beyond me. I spend well over $100 every year in other states just buying preference points. Some that are lotteries no different than TPWD drawn hunts. Some of those states I even have to buy a non resident license just for the privlege of buying a preference point in their state, yet residents in those states keep on paying the same $3 here same as we do.

I trust you guys are going to say something as soon as the results are posted. I'm tired of getting the blisters on my fingers from dialing so much.

The current batch of applications were due 9/11/2013 at 5PM. Do not expect results until about two weeks afterwards

I just spoke with a lady at the Public Hunts office of TP&W. I called them (and it took 31 minutes on hold) as I could only find in their automated system that they have processed 2 of the 3 drawing applications that I submitted - so I was afraid that I messed up one of them.
She said that I shouldn't expect draw results available until Monday of next week and it could possibly be later than that as they are still processing applications. She confirmed that they won't draw the hunts until they process all valid applications that were received by the deadline.

I have received my notice of non-selection for both private land hunts I entered. Still awaiting all the others.

rifle hunts had not been drawn when i called this morning
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

I'm hoping to NOT get drawn this time. This year, I am in the fortunate position of having more hunting opportunities than vacation time from work. Preference points would be perfect!

When I called this evening, it said I had two preference points. I previously had one, so I'm assuming I didn't draw. Of course the system still says that the hunt hasn't been drawn, so who knows.

It looks like they have only draw WT, but I got drawn for antlerless/spike. Happy to finally get drawn for something after being shut out two straight years!

Anyone enter the postcard hunts? Yes. I was drawn for Gus Engeling and my son was drawn for Guadalupe Delta.

I got Javelina at the Chap and antlerless/spike at Cooper. I guess that's not too bad!
