After getting skunked yesterday without even firing a shot we I decided to hunt a different area. I left the house at 3:00 and arrived at 4:30. After making the nearly mile walk in and getting set up I there was 30 minutes to lst.

While waiting on lst decided to take a few pics.

The whole time I am sitting there waiting on lst I am getting buzzed by teal. Shooting time comes and it takes a little bit before anything really starts to come in. After watching several birds fly by a mile high I get alone bird to decoy in and drop it. After the retrieve I get the first red head of the season. Shortly after I get a lone bwt to decoy in and drop it. It slowed down for me after that and mainly with more high fliers and a few missed shots I get a group of gads to come over low enough to drop one of them. About 9:30 decided to call it a day since I hadnt seen anything in about a hour.

There were lots of birds flying but mostly high and fast.

Pup with the birds from the day.

The days birds.
