15 to 18 hundred acres???? Putting 15 to 18 hunters????100 acres each??? Whooly $#$#, if you do get on you might ought to bring some armor, when the bullets start to fly.

Don't mean to sink you boat there. IMO, it still too many hunters. What they or you decide to do is your and their business, best of luck.

Cuttin it close if you ask me......
Last big lease I was on had 10 guys for appr. 10,000 acres...
Sounds like a money making deal to me.....but just my .02...
Good luck....What part of the state is this anyway.....

Time is not wasted if you spend it with the ones you love.

Welcome to The Forum. Where is your property located?

Don't take offense at some of the comments some of us make.

A lot of times, we just read things such as the size of a place and the amount of hunters someone is wanting to put on a place, and don't stop and think about where the place may be.

With everyone hunting different areas of the state, we get to forgetting that a person hunting in one area can set in one place and glass 3 or 4 thousand acres, while someone in another area is lucky to see 150 yards in any direction besides straight up. Good luck with your lease, and stick around. The folks on here are really great, have a lot of knowledge and good info, we just sometimes only look at pieces of the puzzle, not the whole thing.

There are a ton of areas where 100 acres per man is way more than enough. Where is it located? What's the $? Is there water and electricity? Game managed? More info please. Thanks!

No problem, I am Pretty thick skinned, and know that most people see the glass half empty instead of half full.
This lease is in San Saba county , there 100 acres is more than one hunter needs in most cases, when you lease you have control over your area , the amount of feeders , stand, and guest, plus there are many other benifits here we all are like family group I have a silo whith a grain trailer that makes taking care of your area an easy task. we have alot of deer , hog and turkey, everyone on our lease got thier Texas limit last year and we did not kill the amount of deer that the Bio asked us to . the lease is very hilly and treed so yes 100 acres is way more than enough in this area. as far as making money I make noothing Just enjoy growing deer, the land leases for $15.00 an acre because of the management and the amount of deer, Oh did I mention I am A active member of NWTF, Wheeln Sportsmen , And many other disabled and mentally challenged and chonicly ill ,assc. I am also a guide on Lake Texoma , I almost every trip out I make nothing due to it being donated to one of these assc. In fact there is a fishing trip on the auction block this weekend in Oklahoma for Wheeln Sportsman / NWTF, that is donated to help make money for them, Put all that together , and me 30,000.00 boat and $225.00 to fill it up , not to mention my time < I don't think I am out to make money.

I am not sure how far it is from Lockhart , I know I have seen the sign But cant place it in my mind, I am in the southwest section of San Saba county, between cherokee, and brady , towards sloan and llano.
