Those still frames are amazing. Some definition is lost when they save video. It was even sharper through the scope when I popped Ms bobcat. It wasn’t particularly cold but the sprayed grass was still easy to see 20 minutes later when I was packing up to leave the spot.

Just curious, what thermal are you using? And am I reading the picture correctly in that the bobcat was 109 yards away?
I’d agree thermals are a huge advancement. As were laser rangefinders that have enabled long range shooting.

Those images really show what forensics people deal with when they work a shooting, as far as splatter, direction, etc. We go to the impact site looking for a couple of spots of blood, when there’s tons of it that we can’t see with the naked eye. Just incredible. Thanks for sharing the images!

Laser range finding binos have been the demise of many animals that I would not have even shot at many years ago!

Laser range finding binos have been the demise of many animals that I would not have even shot at many years ago! Lazer range finders are probably the no.1 on my list. I’m a Bowhunter and having the ability to accurately range an animal in an instant is paramount. Having them in binos is just more icing on the cake
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Laser range finding binos have been the demise of many animals that I would not have even shot at many years ago! Me as well. Ranged, dialed and shot 30+ animals over the last few years. From 330 to 550 yards. I set up, range hard objects to establish a no range, hold and kill zone. Anything else gets ranged, dialed and killed. I don't recall missing an animal using this method. If it's way out there I've always had time to get it done this way.

So many things. In addition to RF bino's there's rechargeable nearly everything. The hand warmers that run 4 hours on a charge and are smaller than a cell phone keep my hands ready to go without gloves on a sit.

For me personally, the new fabrics that hunting clothing is made of makes a huge difference in comfort, warmth and blocking wind. These are the advancements that I recognize and use the most. It is lighter weight and more comfortable then ever to hunt

Just incredible. Thanks for sharing the images! The first thing I thought of when I pulled the trigger was it looked like i shot a bobcat full of blood and Luminol. Someone asked and it’s a IRAY RICO RH50 V2 scope.

I am so naive about night hunting equipment. Those still pictures of the bobcat flinging out blood are just amazing! Now I have to go find out what a IRAY RICO RH50 V2 scope is! Thanks for posting!

My thermal monocular is the biggest game changer for me also. I feel naked on a hunt without it now.
The rangefinding binocs might be my #2. However my first hunt with them is coming up next week so only time will tell on those.
Out Big
GO TRUMP!

Growing up hunting in the mountains of western VA before moving to Texas over thirty years ago. I can't tell you have many glass lined thermos's i broke. This rendered my only hot drink on stand for the day gone. Today's thermos technology is far advanced over anything I used growing up. Sometimes it's just the simple things that come with advancements that can make a junt more enjoyable!
Distance is not the issue, but the winds can make it interesting!

Sliding glass windows on a deer blind. No more freezing in four pallets wired together or sitting on a 2 X 12 board in the fork of a tree. Know that is simple but way better than the way we used to do it. The rest is icing on the cake.
