This probably shouldn't even be called a casserole. A casserole is supposed to be more complicated than this, and hot.
Here are three ingredients that will surprise you as to how good it is.
Mexicorn--that is the vacuumed packed corn you find near Niblets or Summer Crisps.
Catalina dressing
Fritos
I am not going to list quantities since this is a no brainer. Simply mix some corn and Catalina dressing until you get a blend that you like. You just want the corn well coated. Refrigerate until chilled.
Mix this with the Fritos and wallah!!! This some good stuff.
And truthfully, I don't think that with this recipe that you would know if it was Niblets or Mexicorn. I think Mexicorn was originally used just to give this recipe "color" according to my wife.
The key to this is don't mix the corn / Catalina dressing mix with the Fritos until you are ready to eat it or the chips will get soggy. You want he chips crisp.
As far as ingredient amounts I think the recipe she found for this was about a bottle of dressing to about three or four cans of corn and a medium size bag of original sized Fritos. Anyway, it is easy to find a mix that you will like.

Question...what are Niblets and Summer Crisps?
My wife makes bomb ace taco salad with lettuce, onions, drained and rinsed ranch style beans, catalina dressing and fritos.

Niblets and Summer Crisps are both just brand names, or labels, of whole kernel corn that come in the short vacuum packed can instead of the normal size can. The vacuum packed corn is crisper or firmer than the water packed corn.
I think Green Giant has the Niblets. I forgot who makes the Summer Crisps. However, they are both about the same. You find each of these with the other canned corn products.
