Anybody have any info on this ranch, this is the pasture near Throckmorton, not the Renderbrook (?) near Colorado City. Curious to see if any folks know anything about it or have hunted it in the past.

I hunted there about 7 years ago. Worst.

When I drove around the place it looked wonderful. It looked perfect. But no deer. I cannot explain it. I hunted on the West side of the highway. No one stayed on the lease for any real length of time.

I never went to the pasture on the East side of highway, but I did know several men who stayed on that lease long term.

I was baffled by utter lack of game. It looked picture perfect....

Several years ago my ex wife's family leased the Spade ranch for a good number of years. Believe a group of baseball players came in one year and basically outbid them as at the time the owners did not live anywhere near the property and just wanted the highest payer. During the time they leased the Spade they shoot several nice deer and there were a lot of deer / hogs/ turkey/quail.
