Disability Resources in Abilene is in need of Guides for their 20th annual Quail hunt.(Feb 12-14th) My wife and I have guided at this event several years in the past and will do so again this year. This is a Great organization and we have had a wonderful time guiding for it. If your interested please contact Kelly Young at 325-338-8683. We are in severe need of guides with dogs. You will have to furnish transportation and your room. Leases and meals and tickets to functions are furnished by DRI.

Thanks Guys, Darcy and I started guiding for this event back in 2000, Thursday the 12th they will have sporting clays at the local range, and a small get together in Buffalo Gap that night where food will be served. Friday and Saturday We will guide hunters and Celebrity's on area ranch's There are several north of Abilene and if your close to the Bucknail they always have a Bar-B-Que lunch. All the hunters I have guided have been adults but I know there have been a few teenagers over the years. On Saturday night they have the Banquet and Auction It's a really nice todo. We have made several good friends and aquaintiences over the years. Hope to see ya'll there.

I'm just worried about what I have to do to be qualified as a "guide". I have two great pointers that are super birdy, well-mannered, and mind me. I've got good knees and am absolutely obsessed with upland bird hunting. I know we can get guest hunters good shots on pointed, holding birds because we've done it before. I'd appreciate knowing what else it takes, if anything. I'd be all in if I were qualified.

Talked to kelly tonight and they filled all the openings. You don't have to be anything but willing to donate time and have some dogs to participate. Mabey next year.
