hey guys. just wondering if anyone knows anything about who owns this piece of land. ive seen 5 ft gar in it and wanna fish them out. i have also seen many pigs and would love to kill one but don't know if the discharge of a firearm would be legal. I have a proper hunting license but am only 17. Also, ive heard stories of an Aryan gang that used to hang out in the area... any thoughts on that subject? thanks in advance! _________________________ Keaton ~ a kid in love with nature

all of the trinity river bottoms are private property, i wouldnt get caught down there with a gun, the north side of the trinity and beltline is nature preserve and i have seen the GW down there a few times. I have heard the arian story as well but have never came across them. if it were me i would stay out of there.
Isn't it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back everything is different.
Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

there lot of people who hunt the lands off the trinity an beltline... Your not allowed to hunt with bow to gun in the city.. you hear about these laws that people say 10 acers or more for shotgun and bla bla bla but citys have ordrances to keep that from happeneding... A lot of guy who know the land owners use dogs.. I know a few people who own property in Irving with pigs...

Mikey1313 is right about hunting north of Beltline Rd is a wildlife preserve no hunting. South is private property part of which is a private gun range you can pay a yearly fee to shoot on. I know most of the private property owners in the area as you can imagine they get constant requests for hunting permission being so close to a large metro area. The owners have all the people they want already hunting they are burnt out from all the poachers and request. Your going to either find land to buy, get on a lease, or drive farther away from town. Ive received a bunch of PM's about hunting leases in this area to my knowledge they are all full and a spot really only come open when someone moves or passes away. Just to many people for to little land. For fishing here is the web link to the preserve north of Beltline rd. http://www.dallascounty.org/department/plandev/locations/10-goat-island.php

South side is Mickey's gun range and is private. To the north is a county nature preserve and is off-limits to any hunting.

You don't need protection from pigs if they came running out attacking people then there wouldn't be near as many as there are. Just take a rod a reel and go fishing, oh and if your white maybe shave your head. I would be more worried about the aryan brotherhood than a pig.

If you think there is going to be trouble with a gang perhaps staying away is the smartest way of going about it. If something did happen this thread could be used against you by the authorities for the protection against pigs. Do you have a CHL?

Respect is earned... And the area in question is a county preserve there are no firearms allowed it is not a state WMA where hunting is allowed. Most of the people I find in there are walking the trails or fishing using it for its intended use. This Arian brotherhood talk comes from people trying to scare people. They want to keep people out and use it for their own personal playground. I've been giving this area extra attention from all the attention it has received here lately. I have found 4 fishermen that had their fishing license, a couple hiking with their dog, and a nature photographer.

I am assuming he found them on the north side of Beltline Rd, which is a public nature preserve. The south side is private.

There is a feeder/ stand right off the rd on the north east corner of the river ... So someone hunts there . It's not really a good place to be trespassing . It's busy around there and I've seen the game warden as well. Private shooting lease is there . I've seen a few people fishing over there tho
