Hunting wasn't near as good as it usually is up there. We almost killed a 6 man limit of green the first two days but had to hunt morning and afternoon to do that. The rest of the trip was mainly a green wing teal beat down. Didn't get any pictures of full limits because we'd clean the birds from the morning before the afternoon hunt. Here is a few pictures my girlfriend got of the dogs while we were there though. Enjoy the pictures and now time to go chase some deer during the split.

I'm hoping to make it up there at some point this year. Looks like y'all had a good time.

Great photography!

The Oklahoma Wildlife Dept. reports have suggested that it's a down year all over the state - low water levels have lead to ducks just flying on by, it said.

I don't know why but I've always liked a picture of a dog bringing back a crippled duck over a dead one, there is plenty more of them bringing back dead ducks but its a little harder to kill em dead sometimes when you're shooting them with 28's up

Nice pics. 28 is fun to gun ducks with. Makes you work em closer for sure. What brand of 28 you shooting?

I don't own one but I was using either a browning cynergy or a beretta silver pigeon throughout the week.

Submit that one with the pintail and Duck Unlimited edition vest to DU, and win a million bucks or something.

Great pics. Nice hunt. At ranch in NW Oklahoma where I hunt, plenty of water this year. On Thanksgiving morn, they averaged 3-4 birds / man - some mallards, GW Teal, Gads, and a few Widgeon.

My girlfriend took them, I'll find out her exact set up here in a bit and let y'all know! The last picture I posted of the dog sitting in the pit with the greenhead was with my Iphone though

It's a Nikon D5000 with a Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6 Zoom lens

It's a heavy lens to tote around and I'm sure there are smaller ones that would be a little bit more expensive, but I think it would be worth it. All of those pics were taken from a pit blind where it's easy to keep the camera dry. I'll post a few more pics on this thread if I have any more good ones!
